Katowice Rolna 43 St
Built: 2011

Now, at the time of young people pursuing higher education, the Academy of Silesia (formerly Higher Technical School) creates new training programmes, not only architectural. Conditions of the former vocational and technical school of building industry turn out to be not sufficient. A design of extention (over 6300m2) and refurbishment (over 4100m2) is being implemented. Because of the rigours connected with EU co-financing, an economical solution out of several developed concepts has been chosen. As a part of the project we designed a new connecting building consisting of halls, auditorium, lecture and design rooms, which constitutes a kind of graphical logo of the University. We also designed superstructure over existing building and rebuilt the wings that contain workshops, lecture rooms, laboratories.
