In 10\/2018 edition of monthly magazine \"\u015aL\u0104SK\" subtitled \"Seeking Aesthetics\", in the text \"Deconstructivism Silesian Way\" Marek Skwara presents objects designed by Atelier PS in this poetics at the break of 20th and 21st century. The set of featured objects comprises a choice of realisations elaborated by the office named a predecessor of this type of activities in Poland.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Krzysztof Ingarden in the book \"What languages we speak?\" presents Polish architecture created after 1989. He analyzes the multitude of formal and artistic languages used by contemporary Polish architects, comparing them in an innovative way to the trends prevailing in Polish architecture of the interwar period. Contemporary Polish deconstructivism was illustrated by the building of the DBT Polska headquarters in Mys\u0142owice, and Atelier PS has been mentioned as a studio designing in this style since the beginning of the 1990s. Deconstructivism, deconstruction, is a philosophical approach created in the 1960s by Jacques Derrida and developed two decades later by architects led by Peter Eisenmann. Bernard Tschumi, Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, Daniel Libeskind born in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, and Coop Himmelblau assumed that architecture should explore the fields between traditionally established opposites - construction and ornament, abstraction and figurativeness, the object and the background. The realizations of this current fall beyond unambiguous definition, exceeding traditionally established orders and categories. They are characterized by the dynamics of forms, a disturbance of the traditionally understood balance, they directly implement the idea of deconstructing - disassembling, destroying meanings established so far, leading to a new reading of them. Harmony, order, hierarchy no longer reveal themselves in the familiar and obvious way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The text, which describes several key Atelier PS projects from the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, is accompanied by photos of implementations from several cities in southern Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
